A natural foundation for your home

Wood sets the tone of a room long before the furniture arrives. The Six Flooring & Co helps you bring the material selection and installation plan together, whether you are updating a bedroom, connecting several living spaces or replacing an existing floor. We offer solid and engineered wood installation and help you compare suitable finishes during a complimentary at-home sample consultation.

Begin with the room, not just the plank

Before confirming the scope, we discuss the existing floor, the level of the home, the subfloor, nearby finishes and the way the rooms connect. Bring photographs, rough dimensions and details of any radiant heating or building requirements. Those details help us narrow the product choice before you commit.

Preparation and installation

Moisture conditions and the selected product’s installation instructions determine the preparation and conditioning needed. Nail-down, glue-down and floating methods are not interchangeable for every floor. The installation plan follows the chosen system, including its requirements for movement space and compatible accessories.

We also discuss plank direction, visible starting points and how the floor will meet stairs, tile and doorways. A sample board shows colour; the layout conversation helps you understand how that choice will work throughout the space.

Define the finishing work

  • Identify whether removal and disposal of the old floor are part of the quote.
  • Review subfloor repairs and preparation separately from laying the new floor.
  • Confirm transitions, baseboards, shoe moulding and any door-clearance work.
  • Agree on furniture handling, access, cleanup and the final walkthrough.

Questions before you book

Can you match an existing floor? Bring a sample or clear photographs. We can explore suitable options, but an exact colour, sheen or height match should not be assumed.

How long will installation take? We confirm scheduling after reviewing product availability, preparation, room access and the installation method. Conditioning and adhesive requirements can affect when work begins and when the room can be used.

What should I keep afterwards? Retain the product information, care instructions, written scope and applicable warranty documents. We can discuss a small reserve of matching material when planning the order.
